Mike Mukula’s Chief Mobilizer in the Acholi Sub-region, Adoche Vicky, has officially crossed over to Team New Energy, led by Calvin Echodu. The unexpected defection comes as both Mukula and Echodu battle for the powerful position of NRM Vice Chairperson for Eastern Uganda.
Adoche Vicky has been a loyal supporter and key ground mobilizer for Mike Mukula in East Acholi since 2015. For nearly a decade, she worked tirelessly to rally support for him in the region. However, things took a sharp turn during a recent meeting held in East Acholi, where Calvin Echodu presented his action manifesto to local leaders and supporters.
After listening to Echodu’s message, Adoche announced her decision to leave Mukula’s camp and join Team New Energy. She explained that her decision was based on years of disappointment, saying many promises made by Mike Mukula had not been fulfilled.
Her move is seen as a major blow to Mike Mukula, especially in the Acholi sub-region where Adoche held significant influence. It also adds momentum to Calvin Echodu’s growing campaign, which has been attracting fresh support from key grassroots leaders.
