The Orungo County aspiring member of parliament Teddy Anyuk Osire has launched a campaign dubbed ‘Keep Orungo Cleen’ among at promoting general hygiene and sanitation in the streets of Orungo Town in Amuria district.
The legislator hopeful reached out the area schools like Starlight secondary School and residents within the town council and mobilized them for the cause as well as emphasizing the importance of cleanliness so as they can fight poor hygiene related diseases.
They conducted the general cleaning most Orungo town streets including bars, hotels Streets , Orungi Health Center III and also provided refreshments to expectant mothers.
The area leaders and Orungo HCIII in charge Dr. Joseph Echeru commended miss Anyuk for the campaign.
Starlight SS students noted that they joined the initiative saying, cleaning public places not only take them closer to the community but also promotes environmental conservation and preventing poor sanitation related diseases.
The MP aspirant for Orungo county, Anyuk Osire noted that she has the obligation to lead by example in improving the livelihood of her constituents.
