The Electoral Commission has denied registering or issuing a registration certificate to operate a Political Party called People Power Front (PPF) as it has been circulated by various media platforms.
This follows a press conference on 4th April 2025 at mestil hotel in Kampala by a group of four men dining red berets led by John Mulamba, claiming PPF was registered in August 2024.
They claimed use of red berets and slogans people power our power similar to those of the National Unity Platform (NUP) which sparked public confusion and accusations of imitation.
The group further claimed to have registered red, black and gold as their new party colors.

They presented Hajji Musa Nsambu as their party president, City lawyer Robert Rutaro as their party coordinator, Archiles Mukaabi as their General Secretary, John Mulamba as one of the founders among others.
However, The Electoral Commission says, they have not issued a Registration certificate to any party in the name of People Power Front.
“The Electoral Commission would like to inform the general public that as of 4th April 2025, it has not registered or issued a certificate of registration to any political party or organization called People Power Front or PPF”.Posted the electoral body on its official X handle.
The National Unity Platform Secretary General David Rubongoya called the group, political dealers with self-seeking interests to sabotage their party as the electoral process draws closure.
He added that NUP already registered the slogan, colors and the symbol way back and no one can come out and claim ownership of the same.
