Six-Year-Old Girl Missing in Luwero!! Police Intensify Search

Must read

The people of Namaliga South, in Bombo Town Council, Luwero District, are in shock and fear after a six-year-old girl went missing. The girl, Babirye Nankya, a pupil at Namaliga Church of Uganda Primary School, was last seen on the evening of 30th July 2025 around 7:00 PM.

According to a report made by Namuyimbwa Grace, a 28-year-old cleaner and resident of the area, Babirye disappeared after following her twin sister, Nakato. Their mother had sent Nakato to a nearby town to mend a shoe, and Babirye quietly followed her. However, while Nakato returned home safely, Babirye did not—and she has not been seen since.

The disappearance of the little girl has left the family, school, and entire community deeply worried. After receiving the report, police immediately registered a case of disappearance. Investigations started without delay. Officers have spoken to several people who may have seen something, and they have closely examined the area where Babirye was last seen.

Luwero police are doing everything they can to find Babirye Nankya. They are urging the public, especially the people in Bombo and nearby areas, to help in the search. Anyone who has any information about the girl’s whereabouts is encouraged to report to the nearest police station or directly to Luwero police.

This is a heartbreaking situation, and the community is being called upon to stay alert, support the family, and provide any tips or leads that could help bring Babirye home. As police continue their investigations, more updates will be shared with the public in the coming days.
