Yesterday, the Director of the Criminal Investigations Directorate (CID), AIGP Tom Magambo Rwabudongo, delivered an inspiring lecture to 1,278 students at LDC Uganda. The session focused on the vital role young people play in Uganda’s transformation journey. During his address, AIGP Magambo highlighted the important connection between strategic security, law and order, and socio-economic development.

He emphasized that the country’s progress depends not only on policy and governance but also on active participation from the youth. By understanding and supporting national security and law enforcement initiatives, young Ugandans can contribute to building a safer, more stable society. Moreover, he pointed out that socio-economic transformation is closely linked to maintaining order and protecting strategic interests, meaning that security and development are deeply intertwined.

The lecture encouraged students to view themselves as active participants in shaping Uganda’s future. AIGP Magambo Rwabudongo urged them to embrace responsibility, engage in meaningful initiatives, and recognize that their actions today will influence the country’s growth tomorrow. Through knowledge, innovation, and commitment to national priorities, the youth can play a decisive role in creating a prosperous and secure Uganda.
