The Uganda Police Force has dismissed ASP Clive Nsiima following his involvement in a violent incident at a Shell petrol station in Kyanja, Kampala. On 8 October 2025, a video showing the officer assaulting a female shop attendant went viral on social media, prompting immediate public outrage. In response, ASP Nsiima was quickly apprehended and detained by police authorities.
The officer faced a police disciplinary court on 7 and 10 October 2025, where he was charged with behaving in a scandalous manner. After reviewing the case, the court found him guilty of misconduct and abuse of authority. The disciplinary court recommended his dismissal, a decision that has now been implemented.
In addition to the internal disciplinary process, ASP Nsiima has also been produced in criminal court at KCCA, where he faces charges of assault and threatening violence. He has since been remanded in prison pending further legal proceedings.
The Uganda Police Force has condemned the officer’s actions, emphasizing that such unprofessional conduct will not be tolerated. Authorities reiterated their commitment to maintaining discipline and integrity within the ranks, ensuring that officers who abuse their power face both administrative and criminal consequences.
This decisive action reflects the police force’s dedication to accountability and serves as a strong message that misconduct, particularly violent behavior against civilians, will be met with strict penalties.
