Timothy Muganzi Magambo
Sept 24, 2007 May 16, 2026. Pelham Manor
Timothy Muganzi Magambo of Pelham, New York, and Masindi, Uganda, passed away on May 16, 2026.
He was 18 years old.
Born in Kampala, Uganda, on September 24, 2007, Timothy was the eldest of two children.
Timothy started at Colonial Elementary School in second grade and went on to graduate from Pelham Memorial High School. He was a well-rounded and highly accomplished student. A gifted and dedicated athlete, he played lacrosse, soccer, and football.
He was also a proud member of the National Honor Society. Timothy’s leadership qualities were evident through his involvement in student government, where he served at different times as senator-at-large, school-wide treasurer, and class president.
He was also a peer leadership mentor and co-vice president of the Breast Cancer Awareness Club.
He had just completed his first year at the University at Albany, where he was pursuing a degree in Business Management and Finance.
Outside of school, Timothy had many passions.
He loved music, particularly “Imagine” by John Lennon and “Sweet Caroline” by Neil Diamond. He enjoyed gaming with friends, stock trading, and volunteering.
Above all, Timothy was deeply devoted to his family. As the oldest child, he was known for his warmth, kindness, and generous spirit.
He cherished time spent with his parents and younger brother.
Each summer and Christmas, he traveled to Uganda to be with his father, often bringing school supplies and clothing to support less fortunate and abandoned children. (Me 😭)
Timothy will be remembered as someone who seemed to be born smiling and talking—a trait he carried with him throughout his life.
He loved meaningful conversation and had a natural ability to connect with others.
His greatest strength was his kindness. He was always willing to help, even at his own inconvenience, and was known for his patience, optimism, and genuine care for those around him.
(Just like his DAD)
Timothy is survived by his loving parents, Tom Magambo and Caroline Nalwanga; his brother, Jonathan, 16;
his grandparents, Elizabeth Museeta, Proscovia Lwanga, and Francis Kaweesa; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
He was predeceased by his grandfather, Francis Museeta.
Timothy will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
A celebration of Timothy’s life will be held at the Pelham Funeral Home, 64 Lincoln Avenue, Pelham, New York, on Thursday, May 21, 2026, from 4:00 to 8:00 PM.
A second viewing will take place on Friday, May 22, 2026, from 1:00 to 2:00 PM at Huguenot Memorial Church, 901 Pelhamdale Avenue, Pelham, New York, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM.
