Police at Kajansi are actively investigating the heartbreaking death of a one-year-old baby, identified as Balisala Promise, who tragically passed away during the night of 10th April 2026. The incident occurred in Katwe Cell, Nakawuka Parish, within Kajjansi Town Council, Wakiso District. Authorities have opened a murder case after allegations of poisoning emerged.
According to the details shared by the complainant, Balisala Promise had been left in the care of her nephew, the suspect, for the past two days while the complainant went for night duty. The nephew, however, had reportedly been facing difficulties putting the baby to sleep due to her disturbances during the night. In an attempt to manage the situation, the nephew confessed that he gave the child an overdose of medicine to make her fall asleep. Unfortunately, the medicine did not have the desired effect. Instead, the child’s condition worsened, and she ended up losing her life.
