The Uganda Bureau of statistics (UBOS) an independent body responsible for providing quality statistics and data to all government agencies in Uganda has announced the revised Calendar for the release of Completed surveys and Census reports, Spyreports has exclusively learnt.
The release was announced by Head Communication at UBOS Didacus Okoth who represented the Executive Director Dr Chris Mukiiza. The function was held at UBOS head offices in Kampala. During the release of the revised calendar,Mr Okoth said UBOS has released several reports which the Country has utilized and they include Uganda Malaria indicator survey, Labour Market survey, National Human Resource, Aquaculture among others.
The Head Communication revealed that on May 21 UBOS will release two complete surveys that will include Uganda Business inquiry. “This survey will be published online. “This survey will determine the quality of goods and services produced in Uganda. It will also give the detailed information on productivity,” Says Okoth adding that it will show the economic growth of the Country. He further says on the same day, UBOS will also release the Uganda Harmonization indicator survey report wave 1,2&3. “Wave 1&2 will be from 2021-24 and wave 3 will be for 2025,”He Okoth says adding it will indicate agricultural production on household and none households. He says it will indicate the measurement of land, farms among others. “During the report gathering we visited big farms like Mulwana,Makerere University farm, Kyambogo and asked them how they have managed to keep their productivity safe,” he noted.
He further reveals that on May 28 UBOS will also release the Baseline Education Census report. “The Baseline Education Census report was launched last year by Minister of Education and sports Hon Janet Museveni who also doubles as First lady in Jinja,” Says Okoth. He says the report will show data validation that include all Education levels for both government and private Institutions. He adds that the report will show how many children are in Pri- Primary, Primary, Secondary and terciry Institutions,” he reveals adding that it will also highlight how students live,eat sleep,feed in all Educational centers.
He also indicated that UBOS conducts Consumer price index (CPI) every last day of the month. “CPI shows the price fracuation of goods and serves in the Country,” he says adding they also conduct GDO on a quarterly basis.
