The Uganda Communications Commission (UCC) has joined about 2,000 accountants and auditors from across Uganda at the 31st Annual Seminar of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Uganda (ICPAU), held at Imperial Resort Beach Hotel in Entebbe.UCC was among the sponsors of the three-day seminar, which brought together professionals in the accountancy and auditing sectors to discuss key issues affecting their work and the growth of institutions in Uganda.
The seminar was held under the theme, “Transforming Institutions and Lives for Sustainable Growth,” highlighting the need for institutions to embrace positive change, strengthen their systems and adopt practices that can support long-term development.During the event, accounting and auditing professionals had an opportunity to exchange knowledge, share experiences and discuss emerging practices in their professions. The discussions also focused on how professionals can continue improving their skills and contribute more effectively to the institutions and organisations they serve.The gathering provided an important platform for professionals to learn from one another while examining new trends and developments shaping the accountancy and audit professions.
It also encouraged participants to think about how their work can contribute to better management, accountability and sustainable institutional growth.UCC’s participation as one of the sponsors further demonstrated its engagement with professional bodies and institutions in supporting platforms that promote knowledge sharing and capacity building.With thousands of professionals in attendance, the annual seminar provided an opportunity for accountants and auditors to strengthen their knowledge, build professional networks and explore new ways of responding to the changing demands of their professions.The event also reinforced the importance of continuous learning and collaboration among professionals as Uganda continues to pursue stronger institutions and sustainable economic growth.
