After a controversial NRM primary election marked by serious cheating and irregularities, Hon. Ogwari Polycarp has officially announced that he will continue his journey to serve the people of Agule by running as an Independent Candidate.
This announcement has brought hope to many residents who believe that Ogwari was the rightful winner of the party primaries. According to voters, Ogwari stood out because of his strong message of unity, development, and understanding of the real struggles people face daily.
The recent NRM party primaries were filled with reports of ballot stuffing, ghost voters, and underage children being allowed to vote. In some areas, the number of votes counted was more than triple the number of registered voters. Locals say this is proof that the election was not free or fair.
Despite the pain and disappointment, Hon. Ogwari Polycarp has chosen not to give up. He has decided to listen to the cries of his supporters and continue in the race not under the NRM flag, but as an Independent Candidate who stands with the people.
In his statement, Ogwari said, “My dream has always been to serve the people of Agule, not for power, but for progress. I know what our people go through poor roads, limited access to clean water, unemployment, and neglected health services. I will not stand aside and watch their voices be silenced by fraud.”
He went on to say that running independently gives him the freedom to represent every citizen, regardless of party. His focus remains on real solutions, youth empowerment, education, and fair development across all villages.
Many residents have already pledged their support, saying they believe Ogwari is still the right person to lead Agule. They say he is one of them, a leader who walks with the people and listens to their problems. “We will vote for him again and again, until the truth wins,” said one elder from the community.
As campaign preparations begin, Hon. Ogwari Polycarp is calling on the people of Agule to stay strong, stay united, and stand for what is right. He may have been cheated once, but with the power of the people behind him, the race is far from over.
The struggle continues and this time, it is about truth, justice, and leadership that truly serves the people.
