Security agencies have stepped up to ensure a safe and successful match between Uganda Cranes and South Africa at Namboole Stadium tomorrow, 18 August 2025. Fans are being warned to be careful about buying tickets, as intelligence reports indicate that fake tickets are being sold to unsuspecting Ugandans. To avoid disappointment, the public is strongly advised not to purchase tickets today, 17 August, or tomorrow, as these could be counterfeit.
Even some genuine tickets are being sold to multiple people, but only the first person to enter the stadium will be allowed in. The stadium machines will read the rest as already used, leaving many ticket holders unable to enter. To make sure everyone still enjoys the game, CAF has set up three fan zones with big screens for those without tickets. The fan zones are located at King’s Park Bweyogerere, Kyadondo Rugby Club, and Masindi, providing safe and exciting places to watch the match with other supporters.
Security personnel will be stationed at all entry points and will conduct thorough searches to prevent any security threats.
