EC Uganda Urges Corporates to Vote as They Run for a Good Cause

Must read

This morning, the Electoral Commission of Uganda joined hundreds of participants in the #CorporateRun2025, an event organized by Corporate Games Uganda in support of expectant mothers. The run brought together people from different companies and organizations, all uniting for a charitable cause aimed at improving maternal health across the country.

While the event focused on promoting health and social responsibility, the Electoral Commission used the opportunity to share an important civic message. Officials encouraged corporate participants to take an active and peaceful role in the upcoming elections, reminding them that good citizenship extends beyond the workplace and into the voting booth.

The Commission highlighted the need for professionals and employees to turn up and vote, noting that low voter turnout remains a concern in Uganda. They urged participants not only to vote but also to inspire their colleagues, friends, and families to engage in all stages of the electoral process—peacefully and responsibly.

The #CorporateRun2025 served as more than just a fitness or charity event—it became a platform to connect two vital causes: supporting mothers and strengthening democracy. Participants ran for health, compassion, and the future of the nation, embodying the spirit of teamwork and civic duty.

By combining sport, charity, and civic education, the event reminded Ugandans that building a better country starts with small steps—sometimes literally one stride at a time.
