The NRM Chairman of Kayunga District, Mr. Kalangwa, has tragically lost his life in a fatal road accident along the Kayunga–Jinja Road, leaving the district and the ruling National Resistance Movement (NRM) in deep sorrow. The heartbreaking news was announced by Balaam Barugahara through a message posted on social media, where he described the late Kalangwa as a close friend, loyal patriot, successful farmer, and businessman whose dedication to the party and country remained unwavering until his death.
According to Balaam Barugahara, Mr. Kalangwa was widely respected for his commitment to the NRM and his strong support for President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni. He noted that the late chairman played an important role in mobilizing support for the party in Kayunga District and was loved by many because of his humility, generosity, and dedication to community development.
Balaam also remembered Kalangwa for hosting the birthday celebrations of General Muhoozi Kainerugaba in Kayunga on the same day he graduated from Kampala University. He described this moment as a reflection of Kalangwa’s patriotism, loyalty, and enthusiasm for the party leadership. To many supporters, this demonstrated the late chairman’s willingness to serve and celebrate the achievements of leaders he strongly believed in.
In his tribute, Balaam thanked Mr. Kalangwa for his friendship, love, and unwavering support for the NRM.
