Pain and Silence Broken! Kiboga Mother Speaks Out after her two young girls are defiled by a neighbor

Must read

Two young sisters in Kiboga District are at the center of a painful case that has shocked residents of Lwamata Town Council. Police say the girls, aged 12 and 8, told their mother that a neighbour had been sexually abusing them for two months.

The matter came to light on 2nd July 2026. According to police, the younger girl fell sick and was having difficulty walking. When her mother, Nyiramuhirwe Agnes, 41, asked what was wrong, the child said she had been defiled by the neighbour. The girl also told her mother that the abuse had been going on since May 2026.

The mother then spoke to her older daughter. Police say the second child confirmed the same story. She told her mother that the suspect would give them money after the acts and warned them not to tell anyone.

Angered by what she heard, Ms. Nyiramuhirwe reported the case to Lwamata Police Station. Officers registered a case of aggravated defilement and immediately started investigations.

Police say they have already collected important evidence. This includes documents to prove the ages of the children. The two victims have also been taken for medical examination. Statements from witnesses have been recorded to help build the case.

The suspect has been identified as Kiwanuka Simon, 39, a businessman who lives in Nkokonjeru A Cell, the same area as the victims. He was arrested and is currently being held at CPS Kiboga as investigations continue.

Authorities say the file will be sent to the Resident State Attorney in Kiboga. Once charges are sanctioned, the suspect will be taken to court to answer the case of aggravated defilement.

In a statement, the Wamala Region Police spokesperson, SSP L. Kigozi, condemned the act and sent a strong warning to the public.
“We appeal to men to resist the temptation of sleeping with underaged girls because it carries serious penal consequences on arrest,” he said.

The case has left many people in Nkokonjeru A Cell in disbelief. Community members are now calling for more awareness to protect children and for parents to keep close watch on who interacts with their children.

Police say investigations are still ongoing.
