A 44 year old man’s life was tragically cut short in a shocking incident that has left residents of Kamuli A Zone in Kira Municipality in fear and disbelief. What started as a tense domestic situation quickly turned into a deadly confrontation, ending in bloodshed and unanswered questions.
The deceased, Omaido Moses, was a 44-year-old employee at the Ministry of Local Government. Reports indicate that on the evening of March 25, 2026, his current girlfriend, Agadi Oliver, went to his home only to find another woman inside. The woman was later identified as Aliya, believed to be Moses’ former girlfriend. Despite the obvious tension, both women stayed in the same house that night. Aliya reportedly spent the night in the bedroom with Moses, while Agadi slept in the living room.
According to preliminary findings, the situation escalated early the next morning. At around 6:00 a.m. on March 26, as Moses prepared to leave for work, an argument broke out between him and Aliya. The disagreement reportedly turned violent. Agadi Oliver claims she was in the bathroom at the time and did not witness the stabbing. However, when she came out, she noticed blood coming from the bedroom, and both Moses and Aliya were no longer in the house.
Moments later, Moses was found lying along a path near his home, in a pool of blood. He had sustained a serious stab wound to the lower front part of his neck, near the chest. Sadly, he died shortly after the attack. His body was later taken to the city mortuary for a postmortem examination.
Police at Kireka Police Station have since opened a murder case and begun investigations into the incident. Officers visited and documented the scene, collected evidence, and recorded statements from witnesses. Agadi Oliver has been arrested to assist with the ongoing investigations, while the main suspect, Aliya, remains on the run.
The tragic incident has raised concern among residents, many of whom are struggling to understand how a relationship dispute could turn so deadly. As investigations continue, authorities are appealing to the public for any information that could lead to the arrest of the suspect and bring justice to the late Omaido Moses.
