The Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) of Uganda Peoples Defence Forces (UPDF) Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba who also doubles as the President’s First son has reshuffled to Commanders from the Air Force Wing , Spyreports has exclusively learnt.
According to the message which Spyreports saw, Brig. General David Gonyi who was the Chief of Staff for Air Force Wing has been appointed the Commandant of the Senior command and staff College Kimaka based in Jinja.
Gen.Gonyi has replaced Brig.Micheal Kabango who has been ordered to report to the Joint Staff human resource Management for redeployment, Col Kenneth Shilling has been appointed Director Human Resource Management in the Air Force.
Other Top Commanders who were affected included Brig.Gen Emmanuel Kazahura who has been appointed Acting Commandant of the Uganda Rapid Deployment Capability (U RDC), Col Itungo Rwakishaija has been appointed Chief of staff Air Force replacing Gen Gonyi and has also been elevated to the rank of Acting Brig.Gen.
CDF General Muhoozi Kainerugaba makes Changes few days after UPDF held it’s annual Defence strategic retreat where senior military and civilian leaders joined and reviewed UPDf priorities and budget plan for 2026/27 Financial year.
Recently,the CDF General Muhoozi Kainerugaba commissioned the new LET-410 Transport Aircraft for the Air Force as Uganda continues the fight against ADF rebels in Congo.
