The High Court in Kampala has set Thursday, July 24, 2026, as the date for hearing the bail application of former Kampala Lord Mayor Erias Lukwago, who is facing a charge of misprision of treason.
Lukwago, a prominent Ugandan lawyer and politician, has asked the court to grant him bail as he awaits further proceedings in the case. The High Court will now consider arguments from both the defence and the prosecution before making a decision on his request.
