Nyemera Beatrice Winnie and her husband Kayondo Juma, who have further been claiming to be working with the Directorate of Crime Intelligence, are now on the run having learnt they are needed to answer to their claims and inform police where they have been getting the firearms and personnel they have been using all along in their campaign of terror against law-abiding landowners.Background: Mr. Obatre Alex Lumumba’s OrdealMr. Obatre Alex Lumumba, Clerk to the Parliament of the East African Legislative Assembly (EALA), lawfully owns land in Kito Village, Namugongo, Kira Municipality, Wakiso District Kyadondo Block 185 Plots 11407 & 11408 and approximately 50 decimals off Block 185 formerly Plot 354.
He has faced sustained land grabbing by this syndicate.On 16th October 2025, the High Court (Land Division) in Miscellaneous Appeal No. 059 of 2025 before Hon. Lady Justice Naluze Aisha Batala granted a Temporary Injunction restraining Kayondo Juma and others from trespassing, constructing, selling or interfering with the land until the main suit is determined.The Inspector General of Police (17 March 2026), Land Police Protection Unit Commandant (13 May 2026), and Kampala Metropolitan Police have all verified the order and directed its immediate peaceful implementation. Despite this, night-time constructions, threats and interference continue allegedly with claims of official protection.
