Dear fellow Ugandans,
With a heart overflowing with gratitude and peace, I, Hon. Princess Persis Namuganza, Bukono County MP, wish to inform the entire nation that I have officially withdrawn from the race for Speaker of the 12th Parliament.
Moving forward, I fully and wholeheartedly rally behind the candidates selected today by the NRM for the positions of Speaker and Deputy Speaker.
I want to express my deepest, most profound and heartfelt gratitude to every single Ugandan from the villages of Bukono to every corner of our beautiful motherland for the overwhelming love, support, prayers, and encouragement you have showered upon me throughout this campaign. Your voices, your trust, and your unwavering belief in me have been a source of immense strength and inspiration. I am forever grateful and deeply humbled. May the Almighty God bless each and every one of you abundantly
I also extend my warmest congratulations to my colleagues, Hon. Jacob Marksons Oboth and Rt. Hon. Thomas Tayebwa, on your endorsements. I wish you wisdom, integrity, and success as you take up these important responsibilities.
This is a new chapter for our Parliament and our nation. Let us now unite as one people behind the leadership of His Excellency President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni Tibuhaburwa and work together for the good of Uganda.
