'I Have The Capacity To Lead This Country'-Mpuuga Declares

There has been a number of Ugandans that have been speculating about Hon Mathias Mpuuga's Next move after falling out with his NUP President Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu on Service Award saga With thinking that he would run for Presidency of this country, President for his National Unity Platform Party or form a new political party.

Addressing the congregation in Masaka Mpuuga declared that he has the capacity and ability for the three positions but he is going to concentrate on fighting for electoral reforms and unity among all freedom fighters in Uganda.

During the thanks giving ceremony he organised at Kitovu Sports Arena in Masaka, the Former leader of opposition in Parliament, Commissioner of Parliament and member of Parliament representing Nyendo-Mukungwe Rt Hon Mathias Mpuuga Nsamba has called on all political leaders especailly from Opposition side to unite and always listen to each other with a common voice for electoral reforms.

The thanksgiving mass was presided over by Msgr John Baptst Ssebayiga who represnted the Masaka bishop Selverus Jumba.

The Parliamentary commissioners Easther Afoyochan from zombo, Akampulira prossy mbabazi Woman Member of Parliament representing  Rubanda district and Solomon Sirwanyi who praised Mpuuga for standing strong during this political turbulance.

The Buganda premier Owek. Charles Peter Mayiga congratulated Mpuuga for exhibiting clean politics nad fighting for the common people.His message was delivered by the 2nd deputy prime minister and finance minister of Buganda Kingdom, Robert Wagwa Nsibirwa 

However, Mpuuga said that he is still a member of the National Unity Platiform and called for reconciliation and talks with the party leadership.

Ffembe clan head calls for reconciliation between Mpuuga and Robert Kyagulanyi. ''if Mpuuga and Bobi wine can’t be reconciled by their clan heads ,then they are stronger than their clans. If they can’t listen to the Catholic Church , it means that they are both stronger than the Church. If they are both from Buganda and Mengo can’t reconcile them, it means that they are stronger than the Kindgdom. Said Walusimbi the clan head.

The function was graced by Micro finance Minister Huran Kasolo, Bugiri Municipality MP Asuman Basalirwa Former presidential aspirant, Joseph Kiiza Kabuleta and Conservative Party (CP) leader John Ken Lukyamuzi Legislators like Medard Ssegon representing Busiro East, Dr Abed Bwanika, Joyce Bagala among others, Officials from Buganda kingdom and supporters.

Hon. Medard Sseggona noted that he heard rumors that some people were calling members, telling them they would be denied party cards if they attended Mpuuga’s Thanksgiving. ''I'm glad I wasn't called, and if it's true, then it's absurd. Friendships go beyond politics''.He said.

A section of Mathias Mpuuga's supporters burst into a song in Luganda loosely translated into English as, "What are they accusing him of? Mpuuga did not steal." This was shortly after the thanksgiving mass held at Kitovu Sports Arena in Masaka.
