Former IGP Odomel Dies In India
Uganda Police Force is mourning the former Inspector General of Police IGP John Cossy Odomel who has died today Tuesday 18th February 2025 in India hospital.
This sad News has been broken by the IGP Abbas Byakagaba on his X handle noting that,
"The family of Mr. John Cossy Odomel, deeply mourns the passing of Mr. John Cossy Odomel (IGP Emeritus), a distinguished former Inspector General of Police and a beloved father. He peacefully passed away on the morning of Tuesday 18th February 2025, in India".
His invaluable contributions to the Uganda Police Force will forever be remembered.He added
Details of the burial arrangements will be communicated in due course.
