Four Suspects Arrested With Stolen Mobile Phones

Police in Wakiso have arrested four suspects for allegedly stealing mobile phones at a music show held at Forest Park Resort in Kiwumu village, Buloba parish, on January 1, 2025.

The show, which featured popular artists like Pallaso, Alien Skin, Spice Diana, and Chris Evans, attracted a large crowd from across the country.

However, intelligence information revealed that a group of thugs from Gabba Beach had infiltrated the event with the intention of snatching mobile phones and cash from attendees.

Through covert and overt deployment, police surveilled and followed the group, ultimately arresting four suspects.

The arrested individuals were found in possession of 10 stolen mobile smartphones.

The suspects have been identified as, Mukibi Edison, a resident of Nateete , Tumusiime Johnson, alias Munyarwanda, a resident of Bulenga, Ssekamate Ramathan, alias Allama, a resident of Nakulabye and Kirungi Tom, a resident of Nakulabye.

A case of suspected stolen property (mobile phones) has been registered, and the suspects are currently detained at Wakiso Police Station.

During interrogation, the suspects confessed to stealing mobile phones from attendees and revealed that they are part of a larger gang that targets music shows. SSP Patrick Onyango  spokesperson Kampala metropolitan police.
