Leaders Need A Special Fund To Develop Themselves - President Museveni.

president Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has instructed the Prime Minister Rt. Hon. Robinah Nabbanja to establish a special fund for leaders from district lower levels to create wealth for themselves.

president Museveni says that many political leaders are silently languishing in poverty and can not come out to disclose their burden to the public while closing a leadership course at the National Leadership Institute Kyankwanzi.

The president also advised the trainees to embrace the four core principles, Patriotism, Pan-Africanism, Socioeconomic transformation, and democracy if they are to fight poverty.

He testified that he refused to accept his pay rise but concentrated on agriculture which he said has attained wealth.

''The NRM has, however, all this time, been telling you that you do not eat tarmac roads, but you eat the food that you have either grown or bought. The same applies to clothing, housing, mode of locomotion, etc. The latter are all part of wealth (obugaiga) and the former (roads, electricity, etc.), are part of development,” Gen Museveni remark

 Prime minister Robinah Nabbanja noted that the government discovered the information gap among local leaders concerning government programs and achievements that has been one of the obstacles to steady progress.

She revealed that they decided to take all NRM district executive committees, district Councillors both opposition and NRM, women and youth councils, people with disabilities local council three leaders from seven districts like, kyankwanzi,kiboga,kakumiro,kamwenge,mubende,kasanda and hoima to NALI for training.
