Police in Luwero are investigating circumstances under which a housemaid and her brother died in a pit latrine.

Maid, Brother  Die In Pit-Latrine.

Police in Luwero district is actively investigating a case of Rush and Neglect that occured on Friday 26/01/2024 at Kanyanda Lc1 that resulted in to death of two people. 
The deceased have been identified as Nakimera Magret aged 30 years old a house maid to reporter one Nalwanga Faith and
Ssempijja Yonasan aged 50years old a muganda by tribe and a brother to Nakimera the late all residents of Kanyanda village in Luwero District. 
Preliminary information indicates that on 26/01/2024 at about 6pm, Nakimera Magret the late and a maid to Nalwanga Faith left home, went to look for firewood in the nearest bushes and in the process she fell in to the pit latrine of Kaiza.

The next day Nalwanga reported the matter of  Disappearance of her maid to the area LC1 that also mobilized people who mounted the search in and around the bushes  only to discover Nakimera Magret was in the pit latrine and already dead.

According to Savannah region police spokesprson Asp Twiinamazima, Eye witnesses said that Ssempijja Yonasan a biological brother to Nakimera went into the pit latrine to rescue his sister unfortunately he also died in the process and the matter was reported to Makulubita police station. 
Upon police receiving the information from Nalwanga Faith 91years old a muganda by tribe ,peasant and resident of the above address .Police responded immediately and a case of Rush and Neglect was registered, scene of Crime visited and documented by soco two bodies were retrieved from latrine by fire brigade team, statements were recorded from relevant witnesses and bodies were conveyed to Luwero Hospital for postmortem examination. 

Police investigations are still ongoing,ASP Twiinamazima told spyreports.
