Medical Radiographer Remanded Over Receiving Unworked For Salaries Worth Shs 40M

The State House Anti-corruption Unit together with Criminal Iinvestigations Directorate and the Office of the Director of Public Prosecution have arraigned Adokorach Gloria, a medical radiographer at Yumbe Referral Hospital before the Koboko Chief Magistrates Court on charges of obtaining money by false pretence and neglect of duty.

The accused was employed as a midwife in 2013 by Koboko General Hospital and went on study leave until 2018.

Upon her return, she did not report back to duty but continued to receive salary from Koboko Local government for a role she abandoned in 2018, causing government a financial loss of over UGX40Million in salaries.

She has been remanded until 13/03/2025.
