Mixed Reactions From Politicians Over Mpuuga's Sacking On Abuse Of Office Allegations.
The National Unity Platform (NUP) released a ducument in which the party asked its Party Vice Chairman in charge of Buganda region and  commissioner to parliament Rt. Hon Mathias Mpuuga to sted down accusing him of being corrupt and abuse of office. However this has attracted mixed reactions among politicians and ordinary Ugandans with some spitting venom to the party president Rbert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu while others praising him  over exposing transperancy within the party.
The outspoken Member of Parliament representing Bukoto South on NUP ticket Hon Twaha Kagabo Mzee says that,“This is what confirms as I had earlier said that there is too much comedy, drama, theatric in NUP leadership and I want to thank the leadership of Robert Kyagulanyi that there are things that someone is able to do and what they aren’t capable of doing because when we were coming to power, we put into the public so much hope that maybe we could takeover power in Uganda, but he has helped us to prove that there are people not capable of certain things and leave them for others, while leave other duties for other people and he has proved to us that he isn’t capable of being a President in Uganda,”
“If you are in a battle with your soldiers, does it mean that whoever will make a mistake will be beheaded? Will you win such a battle? Even if I haven’t been closely moving with Kyagulanyi, but as Kagabo who has interest of Uganda at heart. Mpuuga did what he did thinking the people he was working with were honorable people capable of keeping secrets but if they have failed to keep secrets of the NUP Party, what will happen if they are dealing with national matters like highly classified national information. We are thankful for proving to the nation and the whole world that NUP isn’t capable of holding leadership in Uganda for 1-10years without being swallowed up problems,” He added
Charles Rwomushana a Ugandan politician, political commentator, security commentator, former intelligence operatives, former Guild President Makerere University, former RDC Pader District and former head of Economics and Research at Internal Security Organization (ISO) says,It's also not true that Kyagulanyi advised Mpuga to resign. Kyagulanyi actually ordered Mpuga to resign as Commissioner within 24 hours and Mpuga has since defied Kyagulanyi. The only option Kyagulanyi has is to sack Mpuga as the Vice of their gang in Buganda. Now let him dare.Once appointed, Kyagulanyi has no power to remove Mpuga as Commissioner Parliament.
The head of Uganda Media Center Ofwono Opondo notes that, Most of these NUP MPs in parliament are really very young and they're just super excited about the money because it's their first big-paying job ever.

Hon Jonathan Ebwalu: I don’t not have any comment on the Mpuuga issue not until in sure he took the money.

Politics is about persecution. We need the Parliament Public Relations department to come out and explain and address issues coming out of the Twitter (X) exhibition. He added.
