Police Hunting For Shs50M , Phones  Robbers In Luwero

 The police in Luwero district is currently investigating a case of aggravated robbery that occured on Sunday the 4th August 2024 at Kakookolo zone Luwero town council in Luwero district .

The victims are identified as Nakitanda Madinah  36 years old and Nanzir Shaluah all dealing business of phones, phones accessories, mobile money and agent banking and residents of the above address.

It is alleged that on the 3rd August 2024 at 1900hrs, the victims closed business, they carried 50million shillings, 30 pieces of smart phones 50 pieces of button phones and 02 agent banking tabs for Equity and Stanbic Banks along with them for safe custody because thieves had broken into their shop before and stole Similar items,

It's also said that at around 0200hrs on 4th August 2024, Victims were attacked by a group of four thugs armed with pangas, hammers and sticks as their faces were covered broke into the house demanding for money.

They injured the victims and robbed all the above quoted items and left the scene unrecognized.

 The Victims were later rushed to Bishop Asili Hospital and later reported the matter to kasana police station.

ASP Sam Twiineamazima police spokesperson Savannah Region said that  Upon police receiving the information from Kanwagi Yusufu, they responded immediately a case of aggravated robbery was registered, scene visited and documented by soco, search was conducted, victims were examined, breaking tools were recovered from the scene as they hunt for suspects to be produced to court.
