President Ruto Declines To Assent To Finance Bill 2024 To Calm The Protestors
Kenyan President President Dr William Ruto has trashed the contraversal Finance bill 2024 that sparked protests from national in the country'capital Nairobi.
The president in an unusual way has commended the youths in Kenya for Exercising their Constitutional rights to be involved in the affairs of their country.
"We commend our youth for exercising their constitutional rights to be involved in the affairs of their country. Unfortunately, criminals often hijack such initiatives, engaging in violence and destruction of property. This should not silence their voices. Moving forward, we will engage the youth and other stakeholders as part of a multisectoral effort to find solutions to issues of national concern". Stated the President.
President Ruto before conceding not to sign the bill,first met at State House of Kenya, Nairobi, the religious leaders drawn from the National Council of Churches of Kenya, Kenya Coalition of Church and Ministries, and Evangelical Alliance of Kenya.
