Museveni Summons Ministers, PSs In A Crisis Meeting At Kyankwanzi.

President Yoweri Museveni who is also the chairman of the ruling National Resistance Movement NRM is set to lecture Ministers and Permanent secretaries on corruption.

The nine days retreat is slated to begin on Sunday 30th June 2024 at National Leadership Institute Kyankwanzi and will last up to Monday 8th July.

The theme of this retreat will all rotate around corruption that has become the talk of the day after president Museveni declares to crack down all the corrupt out of his government.

The Head cabinet Secretariat Lucy Nakyobe is finalizing arrangements for this retreat.

During the State of the Nation Address at Kololo Ceremonial Grounds, President Museveni Legislators especially from the ruling NRM Party loudly protested when the President suggested to forgive some of his supporters that had been implicated in corruption scandals.

So far four legislators have been remanded over corruption related cases. Last week the Speaker of Parliament rt hon Anita Among while at a function in Lwengo district used sympathized with electorates and assured them that the woman MP Cissy Namujju would be pardoned provided she repents to the president.

She added that Namujju was working for his people since whatever she is said to have stolen was shared and eaten by with the voters.

Some NRM leaders have so far disowned the statements saying, they were personal statements.
