17 ADF Rebels Surrender as UPDF/FARDC Intensifies Fighting in Congo.

A total of 17 rebels who include 15 women and 02 men last night surrendered themselves to different Army detaches of UPDF and FARDC bases as offensive operations intensified. Maj Bilal Katamba, the UPDF mountain brigade that also takes over operation Shujaa confirmed the surrender of 17 rebels from ADF camp.

"After a successful joint operation on the Allied Democratic Force (ADF ) camp in Ndalia North East of Erengeti Town on the 24th/07/2023 where the joint forces captured an assortment of military equipment as earlier communicated, 15 women and 02 Men who escaped in dissary after the joint forces attack on the camp have reported to the FARDC detachment at Ndimo located on the Erengeti- Komanda road,"says Maj Bilal Katamba.

The joint forces continue to comb the general areas of Ndalia to ensure that those that could be trapped in the jungles are rescued. They are expecting more ADF fighters to surrender to the different detachments of UPDF/FARDC,as offensive operations are intensified.

The joint Forces further encourage those ADF fighters and abductees held by the terrorists against their will to report to  UPDF/ FARDC detachments at the earliest opportunity. As per the UPDF ideology, the joint forces re assure those who may choose to report to our detachments, of their safety and rehabilitation.
