3 Suspects Arrested for Allegedly Vandalizing Electrical Equipment
Territorial Police in Luwero district has in custody 3 suspects on allegations of vandalism of electronic wires/cables that occured on Tuesday 28/11/2023 at approximately 02:45pm in Katasule Village Kireku parish Kikyusa Subcounty Luwero district.
The alleged suspects have been identified as; Miro Joseph aged 23 years old, muganda by tribe, a builder and resident of Matuga Wakiso district. Kakulu George aged 32 years old, a musoga by tribe, a builder and resident of Namasuba zone Makindye Division Kampala district. Tashobya Rodgers aged 35 years old a munyankore by tribe, business man and resident of Nyanama zone Lubaga Division Kampala district.
The preliminary information indicates that on 28/11/2023, at around 03:30pm a one Businge Isaac aged 32 years old a mutooro by tribe, an Engineer with Kyegegwe rural Electricity cooperative society and a resident in Kasiso village Butuntumula subcounty Luwero district, received information from Katongole Mathew that there were some people cutting electric wire cables immediately he notified police. The police established that wire cables were cut from 14 electric poles and joined the residents to hunt for the said thugs and they managed to arrest 3 suspects as mentioned above.
"A case of vandalism was registered, scene visited and documented by soco, electronic wires were recovered and exhibited relevant statements were recorded from relevant witnesses, motor vehicle registration number UAN 853R Noah gray in colour was impounded and parked at Luwero CPS yard and suspects are in custody," ASP TwiineAmazima Sam PRO Savannah Region said.
