Newly Appointed UCC ED to be Sworn in Tomorrow

The newly appointed Executive Director for Uganda Communications Commission UCC Hon. George William Nyombi Thembo will be sworn in on Friday at UCC House. 

The former State Minister for ICT, Hon Nyombi Thembo was appointed last week on Friday by the Minister of ICT and National Guidance Dr. Chris Baryomunsi on a five year term subject to renewal only once.

Hon Thembo who has been serving in the capacity of the Director of the Uganda Communications Universal Service and Access Fund (UCUSAF) since January 2017 replaces Eng. Irene Kaggwa Sewankambo who was the acting Executive Director. She is expected to hand over to George William Nyombi Thembo in an event that will be overseen by the Minister of ICT and National Guidance.
