Assailants Attack School Kill Teacher, Rob Pocket Money for Students.

Unknown assailants have attacked St. Andrew Kaggwa Senior Secondary School Kabimbiri in Kasawo Town Council, Mukono District, in the early hours of March 25th, 2023, killed a teacher, and critically injured a warden before robbing pocket money for students.

The deceased has been identified as Miiro Stephen, a 35-year-old male teacher/warden and the injured warden has been identified as Ajobe Bernard, a 25-year-old male watchman.

The Kampala Metropolitan Deputy Police Spokesperson Luke owoyesigire has confirmed the incident saying police has started investigations to ensure that culprits are brought book.

Owoyesigyire has said that the assailants broke into several offices, including the Bursar's office, where they stole unspecified amounts of pocket money belonging to the students. They also broke into the Head teacher's office and took two (02) computer desktops of Boston make and a Dell laptop from the office of the Deputy Head Teacher, Mbasa Luke.

He has also said that during their investigations, the police recovered some exhibits, including an iron bar and a panga.

He says police are currently conducting inquiries and gathering evidence to identify and apprehend the perpetrators of the heinous crime.

"We are committed to ensuring that justice is served for the victims and their families," said ASP Luke Owoyesigyire, the Deputy PRO KMP. "We call upon members of the public who may have any information that may help in the investigations to come forward and report to the nearest police station."

The police also urged school proprietors to up their security measures to avoid future occurrences of such crimes.

The incident has sent shockwaves through the community, with many expressing their condolences to the family and friends of Miiro Stephen.
