District Service Commissioner Charged With Soliciting Shs 20m Bribe From Job Applicant
The Chairperson Rakai District Service Commission, Mpuga David was this afternoon charged with three counts of Corruption before the Anti-Corruption Court after he solicited and received UGX 20 million from a candidate, to secure him a job as an Agricultural Officer Rakai District.
The accused was arrested by State House AntiGraft Unit working together with Criminal Investigations Directorate and Office of the Director of Public Prosecutiond, following a public outcry to the RDC Rakai of him consistently asking bribes on each vacancy available.
He has been remanded until 14/10/2024.
