Double Loss! Sudden Death Of Two Juveniles Resulted Into Murdering Two Other People

The territorial police in Lira District are investigating a case of sudden death of two juveniles and suspected murders by Mob of two other people which occurred on the 19th December 2024 at around 1000 hours in Ayere village, Acutkumu parish Ayami Sub-County in Lira District.

The deceased alleged to have died suddenly have been identified as;.Ocuku Raymond 16yrs old a pupil of P.6 class at Acutkumu Primary School and Ocwa Abel 11yrs old a pupil of P.3 class at Acutkumu primary school.

Meanwhile the two suspected to have been murdered by Mob are and were suspects are;

Akullo Janet and Lingo Sam alias Ajari while Ojok Martin was rescued by the police from the mob.

All started when the two young boys were allegedly given chips of cassava by Martin Ojok on 18th December 2024 and shortly started experiencing stomach and eventually vomiting before rushed to nearby health center for medical attention.

However, Ochuku Raymond died on the way and Ocwa breathed his last on arrival at Gift life care clinic in Lira city.

The sudden death of the boys annoyed that residents and descended on whoever they believed to have had a hand in the death of the two young boys as identified above and killed two people instantly.

 Police managed to rescue Ojok Martin alias Obwoye aged 36yrs old from the mob and rushed to Ogur health center IV for treatment.

 During the scurful, also the District CID officer Lira D/ASP Achora Molly was injured and subsequently rushed for treatment at Good Samaritan medical center.

The case of murder by mob was registered at Lira District CPS and investigations is ongoing.

 All the four dead bodies were taken to Lira Regional Referral Hospital's mortuary pending postmortem.
