Embrace Education In The Fight Against Terrorism-AIGP Wasswa Tells Muslim Community

The Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIGP) Waswa David ssengendo, Director Counter Terrorism Uganda Police has called upon all Muslim leaders and believers to embrace education as one of the measures in the fight against terrorism in the country.

He was in company of Amir Umah Sheikh Muhammad Yunus Kamoga of Jumiat Dawa Al Salafiya at Nakasero and other Muslim leaders.

AIGP Wasswa while conducting an engagement at Ibadulrahman Mosque in Masaka City noted that,  prioritizing education as a tool for enlightenment against self seekers and embracing change will ease the fight against terrorism.

He sounded this advice during an engagement with women from Masaka, Bukomansimbi, Lwengo and Kalungu under the theme "Islam is Not Terrorism". 

 It aimed at countering radicalization, preventing extremist recruitment disguised as religion, and challenge misconceptions linking Islam.
