Former KCCA ED Kisaka, Deputy Luyombazi Summoned At CID Kibuli Over Kiteezi Saga
The former Kampala Capital City Authority(KCCA) Executive Director Dorothy Kisaka her Deputy David Luyimbazi and former director of public health Daniel Okello are summoned to appear before criminal Investigations Directorate(CID) on 14th Monday October over Kiteezi landfill garbage saga.
The investigation are on the orders of President Museveni, who in his dismissal of the trio from office last month ordered CID and other crime management agencies to "thoroughly investigate the matter further, focusing on the angle of criminal negligence associated with this distressing event.
32 people were killed and injured when tonnes of garbage collapsed and buried several homes in Lusanja, Kitetika, and Kiteezi villages on August 11 with all the blame put on KCCA technical wing headed by Dorothy Kisaka.
Sources in Kibuli say that Kisaka, Luyimbazi and Okello have the same destination as several top figures who have appeared at Kibuli on corruption investigations and may be rocked in police cells before being charged in court of law.
