Local Government PS Orders, Chief Administrative Officers, To Institute A Disciplinary Court To Charge Parish Chiefs Over PDM Money.

The Local Government Permanent Secretary Ben Kumumanya has ordered All Chief Administrative officers(CAOs) to institute a Disciplinary Court to charge Parish Chiefs, Town Agents and other public servants involved in the mismanagement of Parish Development Money (PDM).

This followed reports received at the ministry about extortion, bribery and malpractices created by the parish chiefs in the disbursement of PDM funds.

These have also been instructed to remove all implicated in the PDM mismanagement from jobs and also make monthly reports about the same to expedite court reports starting with this August month 2024.
