National Forensic Sciences University (India-Africa Campus) Inaugurated in Uganda

The National Forensic Sciences University (India – Africa Campus) has been inaugurated in Uganda at the Uganda Rapid Deployment Capability Centre (URDCC) Gaddafi Barracks in Jinja.

 The inauguration was officiated by Uganda's Third Deputy Prime Minister on behalf of President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni and witnessed by India's External Affairs Minister on behalf of India's Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by several distinguished guests, including Uganda's Minister of Defence and Veterans Affairs and India's High Commissioner to Uganda.

The NFSU – Uganda Campus will provide specialized training in forensics, cyber security, digital forensics, behavioral and allied sciences.

The Uganda government has already secured 130 acres of land for the construction of the permanent NFSU – Uganda campus with a 99-year-old lease.

The establishment of the NFSU in Uganda will enhance the existing diplomatic relationship between India and Uganda and facilitate technological transfer to address emerging threats.
