No More Hiding, Stary Bullet Shooting Driver Arrested

Police in Kampala have arrested the driver identified as Kitaka Mohammed who shot and injured  a 12 year old boy on 31st December 2024.

The Victim identified as Babalanda Edrine, was shot and injured by the driver of a black Toyota Harrier (UBQ 699B) at around 9:25 p.m.

 The incident occurred when the boy was a passenger in a taxi driven by Nsubuga Robert.

 According to Nsubuga, the driver of the Toyota Harrier shot at the taxi, claiming he was targeting thieves who had attempted to steal from him while driving.

However, a stray bullet hit the young boy, who was seated in the back seat.

 The shooter fled the scene after being informed that he had injured someone.

 The victim was rushed to a nearby clinic by his father, Babalanda Moses, but was later referred to Mulago Hospital for further treatment.

According to SSP Patrick Onyango the Kampala metropolitan Police spokesperson said, a case of attempted murder has been preferred against Kitaka Mohammed as investigations are still ongoing.
