NRM Disowns Remanded Lady Charged For Assaulting A Traffic Officer.

The National Resistance Movement (NRM) Secretariate has rufuted media reports that the lady appeared in a viral video clip assualting a traffic officer is the spokesperson of the NRM secretariate.

The ruling party in the letter released by the scretariate indicated that  Mercy Timbitwire Bashisha is nether a spokesperson of the NRM secretariate nor a staff and unknown to the party.

"According to the charge sheet, this lady lied to the police that she works with the NRM Secretariate, thereby committing another offence"! Said Emmanuel Dombo the party spokesperson.

Timbitwire Bashisha was remanded by the Nakawa Magistrate Court until November 4, 2024, after a viral video showed her assaulting a traffic officer at Lugogo traffic lights on October 18, 2024:-
