The National Unity Platform has expressed fear over the increasing number of party supporters killed and abducted.
This follows reports that one of the party's Mobilisation Heads for Kaabong District in Karamoja Sub-region, Lochoto Ambrose aka Machete was found
The party secretary general David Lewis Rubongoya noted that Lochoto had received numerous threats in the past because of his uncompromising character.
''According to our teams on the ground, comrade, Lochoto was pursued yesterday by a patrol vehicle as he came back from watching a football match and shot dead at close range''. Said Rubongoya
He added that the Party has lost such a solid comrade who has always put on his people power attire everywhere.
NUP says, its member has been murdered in cold blood and called for justice in respect of these crimes against humanity.
This happened at a time when Kemigisha Sharon a NUP Women councillor in Wandegeya Parish, Kawempe Division in Kampala was dumped by her alleged captors in an unknown place, where a kind-hearted boda-boda rider picked her up and delivered her at the NUP office towards midnight.
According to the party secretary general Davis Rubongoya, Kemigisha told them that all of the Nine days she was abducted, she was being kept in solidarity confinement, but could hear other people crying out of torture in adjacent rooms.
They were interrogating her about her numerous interviews in which she's been very critical of the regime. He added.
