PM Nabbanja Opens 30th  Uganda Trade Fair

The Prime Minister of Uganda Rt. Hon. Nabbanja Robinah has today represented president Museveni at the official opening of the 30th Uganda International Trade Fair 2024 at Lugogo UMA show grounds.

"Over the years, we have witnessed incredible growth in Uganda's industrial sector, expanding across key industries such as food processing, textiles, construction materials, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, sugar, soap, and vegetable oil. These industries now contribute 25.4% to Uganda's GDP, broaden the tax base by 30.3%, and have created jobs for over 2 million Ugandans," The President emphasised.

" As a result of the prevailing conducive environment ushered in by the NRM Government, these trade Fairs organised annually have been a cornerstone of industrial growth, economic development, and international collaboration attracting over 1,360 exhibitors from across the globe".Remarked PM Nabbanja.

 This year’s trade fair is running from 2nd-10th Oct 2024 under the theme, “Celebrating 30 Years of Industrial Excellence.” According to the Chairman Uganda Manufacturers Association, Deo Kayemba, over the past three decades, the Uganda International Trade Fair has been a cornerstone of industrial growth, economic development, and international collaboration attracting over 1,360 exhibitors from across the globe.
