Police Boss's Daughter Electrocuted Inside a Uniport over Poor Wiring System
A Police Officer is in grief after his daughter died from electrocution in a uniport at his residence in Nsambya Barracks, Nsambya parish Makindye Division Kampala District.
The deceased has been identified as Munguneno Daniella aged 4 years old an Alur by tribe, daughter of Sgt Jatim George attached to oil and gas and a resident of Nsambya Barracks, Nsambya parish Makindye Division Kampala District.
According to a report by AIP Onen Solomon aged 28 years, attached to Nsambya Health Centre IV, it is alleged that at around 6pm on Thursday evening, the deceased had put water to boil on a coil inside the uniport in the Barracks.
When she went to switch off, neighbours heard a blast inside the uniport. Her mother who was sitted outside wasn’t bothered given her hearing impairment condition. It was until the deceased's sister who had gone to a nearby shop came back and entered the house and saw her lying down helpless and made an alarm which attracted neighbours. The kid was rushed to Nsambya Health Centre IV where she was pronounced dead
Upon receiving the information, police visited the scene of crime and was examined by D/AIP Birungi Jane SOCO Kabalagala who took photographs and drew a sketch plan, together with a team from homicide headed by No 57553 DC Khauka Pius.
The body of the deceased was delivered to the city mortuary Mulago for a postmortem examination but it was observed that the uniport had a poor wiring system and worse still the wires were open exposed.
