Suspect Escapes From Police Cell, Found Strangled In Nakaseke District

The Police in Nakaseke district are investigating a case of murder of a a one Serwano Sonny Bamujje a 40 year old a special hire driver and a resident of Ndejje Lubugumu Sabahabo Wakiso district.

 It is believed the deceased was murdered on the night of 14/5/2024 at unknown time at Namakata village, Kito parish, kito subcounty in Nakaseke district.

On the 15/5/2024 the body of the deceased was found dumped at kizikibi swamp in Namakata village, kito parish,kito subcounty in nakaseke district.

The matter was then reported to the Chairperson of the area who notified police at kiwoko police station.

ASP Sam Twinamazima the Savannah region Police Spokesperson said that the Police team of detectives responded to the scene of crime found the body tied with a rope around the neck with his hands tied from behind and both legs were tied together.

Police suspect the deceased was killed from some where else and after killing him the dead body was brought and dumped at Namakata village

Police have since established that the deceased had earlier been reported to have disappeared at Nateete Police station on the 14th May 2024.

The deceased body was conveyed to Nakaseke hospital for postmortem examination as  Investigations into the matter are underway.
