Tayebwa Speaks Out Over A Story Of Kidnapping, Torturing And Grabbing A Woman's Land In Entebbe.

The Deputy Speaker of Parliament Rt.Hon.Thomas Tayebwa has come out to clear the air on the allegations of land grabbing and abduction of a person by a lady identified as Lubunde Esther who appeared in a video posted on Twabwa's X page claiming that her husband was arrested from his workplace in Entebbe and taken to yet known place.

The speaker made the remarks in a media interview at Parliament, where he was responding to a viral video made by one Esther Ruhunde, who accused Tayebwa of stealing her family land, torturing and later imprisoning her husband following a land wrangle, only for the lad's allegations to turn out to be false, but rather a case of mistaken identity.

"When I saw that video which was sent to me by my wife, it was a shocker because I never own land around Entebbe. I have never met anybody who has said help me on this case. And I want to appreciate the public who managed to give me the contacts of the lady who was complaining and even her lawyer, and I managed to get in touch with her lawyer who arranged a meeting today only for her to discover that when she had her matter, and they found the title in the names of an infant called Tayebwa, she knew that was my son and she decided to go out and plead," said Speaker Thomas Tayebwa .

''I have petitioned various offices for help but all in vain'' Lubunde claimed.
She accuses speaker Tayebwa of using agents Nkubito Allan and Nziza Patrick who she says have terrorised her family.

Earlier on I petitioned the land protection Unit which was headed by Edith Nakalema who also ordered the arrest of the duo but released them under unclear circumstances.
''I tried to hire a lawyer for legal assistance but was bribed with a promotion to the magistrate and now presiding over Mpigi magistrates court'' she said.
In response, Deputy Speaker Thomas Tayebwa asked anyone to help him identify or put him in touch with this lady who claims that the speaker arrested her husband and took her land saying that he does not have any piece of land in Abaita or even ever met her.
The Speaker said that the Lady seemed to be desperate and needed help.
