Tycoon Ham loses $11M Case at Supreme Court.

The Supreme Court has on Tuesday 13, June, 2023 delivered a ruling that the 11 million USD loan to businessman Hamis Kiggundu by Diamond Trust Bank Uganda and Kenya, was legal.
The Justices unanimously agreed on the legality of the loan and added that there was no question of legality.

In the meantime, the Supreme Court earlier denied submission by Hamis Kiggundu's lawyer to arrest judgment in main appeal of the Hamis Kiggundu Vs DTB case. Justice Parcy Night Tuhaise declined the request, promising reasons after reading the main judgment. Hamis Kiggundu's lawyer, Robert Friday Kagolo, sought to halt judgment delivery pending earlier filed application.
