Tycoon's Son Murdered, Body Put inside Septic Tank
Sharif Kiyingi aged 26 years, a welder by profession was murdered by thugs at his house in Nalumunye and his corpse bundled up and hanged in the ceiling.
The incident allegedly happened a week ago and yet the deceased's father discovered the body yesterday when he had paid a courtesy visit to his son.
According to Kiyingi's widow, Janat Najjuma, on the 17/09/2023, she and the deceased went to parents' home in Kitemu to return his younger siblings, who were expected to report back to school in a few days. Kiyingi left his parents' home after 2 days and returned to Nalumunye.
"When he returned home at 9pm, he called and told me that he had reached well and even wished me a good night before hanging up," the widow said.
The next morning, Kalyesubula the father of the deceased tried calling his son over and over but in vain.
"On arrival to his home I and my father in law, we found the door shut, opened it, found his phone on the bed but couldn't find him anywhere however all the household items were intact." Najjuma narrated.
Immediately, Kiyingi's mother, Faridah Nangobi went to police, opened up a missing person's case File no. REF/11/24/09/2023, a photo of the deceased was requested for by the police to put on posters in the village.
The deceased's father who was working on his son's unfinished house, found the body after a stench hit him by wave. The smell led him to the ceiling where he recovered his dead son's corpse with his hands and neck tied up.
Local residents of Nalumunye expressed grief over the situation saying that he had only recently married his spouse and impregnated her.
Patrick Onyango the KMP spokesperson says they've started the hunt for these murderers who when captured shall be arraigned in the courts of law.
Kiyingi's body was picked up on Tuesday and taken for burial at his ancestral home in Mpigi.
