2 Suspects Arrested as Security Recovers Stolen Guns and Ammunition
A joint security operation has arrested 2 suspects and recovered four AK-47 guns and 116 rounds of ammunition that were stolen on Thursday 16/11/2023.
On Thursday last week at about 8:00pm, unknown individuals broke into Kibuku Prison Armory and stole 4 AK-47 guns and 116 rounds of ammunition.
Frank Baine the Uganda Prison Service Spokesperson says, “following a joint security operation, all the 04 guns and 116 rounds of ammunition were recovered the next day.” Two suspects were arrested as a result of the operation.
“A team of inspectors from Prisons Headquarters has been dispatched to Kibuku prison to establish the facts behind the incident for further management,” Baine added.
